Learn More about the Bible!
Please join in the conversation at our next parish book club. We will be reading Invitation to the New Testament: A Catholic Approach to the Christian Scriptures by Alice Camille. Whether you are approaching scripture study for the first time or are a longtime bible reader, there will be insights to be gained by all. We will meet Thursdays in September and October, 9:30 – 11:00 AM in the New Hall OR 7:00 – 8:30 PM in Classroom 6. To sign up for this book club and get the reading schedule, call Joyce Teixeira in the parish office at 491-3468. Participants may order the book on-line (discounted prices available) or pick up a copy in the parish office for $11.00. If your faith in God and love of the scriptures is beckoning you to learn a little more about each of the New Testament writings, come learn!

Healing the pain of abortion, one weekend at a time. A Rachel’s Vineyard weekend is a beautiful opportunity for any person who has struggled with the emotional or spiritual pain of abortion. It is an opportunity to heal repressed feelings of anger, shame, guilt, and grief in a safe and confidential environment. Past retreatants have shared: “I leave this retreat feeling lighter, more free and more connected to God.” “I have found the forgiveness I was seeking at last!”
There are two more opportunities to experience the retreat in 2017: Sept. 22--24, 2017 (English) and Oct. 6-8, 2017 (Spanish). For more information or to register contact Kim: 209/465-5433 (English) or Gloria: 510/485-2574 (Spanish).

NEVER leave any valuable items in your car that can be seen. If you’re going to leave something in the trunk or other areas that are out of sight, place them there before you arrive. There are people who watch and wait for any opportunity to break into cars.
Our security cameras are good, but they can’t stop a break-in. Also, please don’t leave bicycles parked without locking them. Purses, bags, and backpacks should never be left unattended-even while going to communion. Sadly, there are people who look for opportunities.
Don’t be a victim!
For security our parking lot gates will be closed at 8:15 am on school days. The sliding gate between the old hall and Church will remain closed. If you are attending weekday morning Mass we ask that you please park on the street or the parking lot in front of the school.
